Support the Bay Area Open Space Council

When did you notice the wonder of the natural world? How did you feel? Where were you? If you were in the Bay Area, it was likely a place preserved by a member of the Bay Area Open Space Council. The Council is the voice for the Bay Area conservation community. We are critical to coordinating efforts and creating a regional vision for parks, trails, open spaces, and working lands across the 10-counties of the greater Bay Area.

There are several ways to support this work that in turn supports you:

  • Make a one-time or monthly donation
  • Make a gift of $250 or more a year and become an Individual Supporter – see details below
  • For young professionals, make a sliding scale gift of $25 – $50 and become a Young Professional Supporter – see details below

Individual Supporters

DSC_1724Any individual who donates $250 or more can become an Individual Supporter. Those who may find this program most useful are consultants working in the area of land conservation, retired professionals who spent their career working in the sector, as well as individuals passionate about Bay Area lands.

Individual Supporter Benefits

  • Free admission to Gatherings four times a year – $120 value
  • Discounted tickets to annual Open Space Conference – $50 value
  • Recognition on our website and Open Space Conference printed program
  • BAOSC Member logo to place in your communications and website (for consultants)
  • Listing of BAOSC event attendees prior to event upon request (for consultants and at $500 or more)
  • Opportunities to serve as Advisors for the Leadership Development Program
  • Subscription to “The Loop”, our monthly e-newsletter, and Blog highlighting our programs offered and members’ news from the field
  • Free annual subscription to Bay Nature Magazine (four issues a year) – $29.95 value

Individual Supporter Dues

Dues are $250 or more a year. If you give monthly and your cumulative annual donation is $250 or more ($21 or more a month) you are also eligible to receive benefits as an Individual Supporter. Dues are paid annually between October and December. Benefits are received the following year.

The estimated fair market value of goods and services received or made available to you in return for your gift is $199.95. The amount of your gift that qualifies as a charitable donation is the excess of your donation over the value of benefits. You may decline benefits at the time of making your donation so that 100% is a charitable donation.
