Stewardship Group

Working Group provides regional collaboration and information sharing on Land Stewardship issues.

__________________________________________________________

The Stewardship Working Group provides a forum for information exchange for its members and the larger community. We address emerging land management issues and collaborate in developing effective management strategies that consider competing uses. We expand our potential partnerships by bringing issues of concern to the Bay Area Open Space Council’s members as well as other partner organizations.

We invite you to join us at our next meeting to learn more about our upcoming projects:

• Resource management workshops.

• Focused discussions at committee meetings and selected Bay Area Open Space Council membership meetings, including HCPs, Watershed Stewardship Planning (2008); Regional Watershed Resources, Stock Pond Restoration, and more (2009).

• Partnerships with Bay Area Open Space Council members and other coalitions, including assistance to the Bay Area Early Detection Network, a program to assist resource managers with early detection and control of invasive species.

A meeting schedule and upcoming agendas are available on our list of Events.

Some presentations by our past guest speakers are also available.
